Girls Inc. Works

A survey from the Girls Inc. National Office at the end of summer 2020 showed:
• 86% of girls say they’ve been physically active in the past week
• 87% of girls believe they will graduate college
• 83% of girls say they can use what they know to solve “real life” problems in their communities
• 92% of girls say there are adults at Girls Inc. they can depend on for help

National Data

Based on our  national Girls Inc. surveys, girls say they:
• perform better on standardized math tests
• are more engaged in school
• exhibit post-secondary readiness and confidence
• think math is fun
• believe in their ability to do challenging math
• believe in their ability to do challenging reading
• think science is fun
• believe in their ability to do challenging science
• get excited about science
• are curious about science
• enjoy games that teach science concepts
• like to see how things are made
• want to know more about science, computers, or technology
• want to have a computer or science job
• exercise daily
• play on a sports team
• exhibit strong leadership skills and see themselves as leaders
• believe in their ability to contribute in their communitystand up for fairness and their own beliefs
• rely on positive relationships with adults
